Case Study on Tag LS 6/ Operations Management

Introduction
Case has introduces an international company who produces horticultural care tags and merchandising solution, it gives best solution foot the plastic care labels and solutions. Ludwig Schmidt is the owner and he establishes in 1949 as master products company. For now company is making a lie of plastic horticultural labels for some of the seed companies but for now comp may is suffering from some of the hurdles in the supply chain of the company. The first problem for the company is there is mismatch in between demand and supply of the producers and consumers of the company so for now scarcity and excessive production of the goods occurred sometimes. In order to solute this problem company has come up with the new idea and to match the demand and supply to make the beater and right condition of the demand and supply company here now has thought of the new approach which is scheduling set for a new supply chain management system  by making affair and large batch which  can be shipped directly to the growers instead of the seed companies so later, when grower results become available to everyone then another batch can be produces by using the information from the growers by finding out how many additional tags are needed. So that the second batch can be made growled and shipped to the growers. (Stevenson, 10th (2009))
Analyis of findings
Core issues
The revised approach will give the company a new look of looking at the problems and aso it will hep to solve them easily.the supply management of the seeds will lead the company to better outlok=ok the feature. Revised approach of tags when the growers are now able to make and order the different batch of tag as once when the plants will grow they will also have surplus in plants it is obvious that the process now has made them easier to use and minimize the inconvenience in the process of tag acquirement. It can also avoid duplicaiton of the supply but where there comes positive there even lies some negative oints so, the process in my view has its own pros and cons.
PROS
·         Guarantee of the right numbers to the tags of the plants.
·         There will be no delay on replying to the inquiry of the customers
·         Correct match of demand and supply is possible
·         It will increase the effectivenss and reduce the cost of warehousing
·         The seed companies will now ot have surplus of the product
·         The seeds with the tag will hepl everyone to work faster and even in the convinient way.

CONS
·         They are focing to disconnect the chain of the seed companies which can demotivate them
·         The situation of prediction of the seed could not be the same and the co ordination could not be same for Grower company.
·         The added process can increase the time for the manufacturing proces of the company.
·         As far their planning concerns the supply and the customers can not be directly connected , growers may not trust them.

Conclusion
Well, supply chain  helps to manager the flow of the goods and the products, it also helps to the movement of the raw material , work in process inventory  and finished products from one point to another point of consumption. So what can we say is that to match the demand and supply conditons and to make the frequent convenient and effeient supply hain of the company the new or the latest approach of supplky chain management has added a flavour to the compnay and the second batch can be shaped using the informantion from growers on how many additonal tags are needed. Products can be made and shippes to the growers as per the demand and it will help the company to solve the ongoing problem of the supply chain.
